A heated cabinet has many functions in a rail yard. CWI has built insulated and heated operator accessible cabinets for water, treated water, lube oil, and many combinations of oil and water. Over the years we have standardized on four types; single reel Platform cabinet, dual reel Platform cabinet, suspended and platform mounted multi-reel Locomotive Accessible cabinets. CWI builds extremely rugged cabinets because this is the point where the operator interfaces with the equipment. These units have to be both ergonomically correct and tough enough to withstand the harsh everyday use that a Locomotive Service Center puts on a piece of equipment.

All of our cabinets can be fabricated with painted carbon steel or 304 stainless steel exteriors, we exclusively use Hannay Reels and all come pre-piped and pre-wired ready for a quick installation. And, of course, all of our cabinets can be customized to meet your specific site requirements.

Locomotive Accessible

There are many unique solutions to providing lube oil, water and treated coolant water to operators that maintain your locomotives. Since there are so many usages for an insulated and heated cabinet CWI offers several standard sizes and configurations. Ease of operation in a rugged frame is our specialty. The hoses pull off the reels and retract smoothly with large access doors. Bolted maintenance doors to access the reels, floor drains and fully removable sloped tops for reel removal are all standard features.
